Many people need a little coaxing when its time to exercise-Whether its getting to the gym or stopping at the yoga studio for a class. So often the intention is there, but then come the “buts.” “But how do I know if its my level class with my favorite teacher?” “I am so busy, but I don’t know your schedule.” “I want to come, but I need to know if daycare is available for my little one while I take Pilates.” Studies have shown people feel great “after” a class or workout- but getting them in the door is the first step. What if there were no buts in this scenario?
Imagine you own a personal training business or you have a beautiful yoga studio-You’ve got the clientele and the contacts, but with this busy time of year and an economic downtown, you’ve seen attendance drop off. How do you get these people to your place of business? QITTLE them! In a society where people are married to their electronic devices, they’ve come to count on these toys to schedule themselves. Dr appts, meetings, dance recitals. Why not alert them of your classes, times, drop in prices, visiting instructors? Seeing this information in front of me, I am more apt to be in the know and make an informed decision. I remember how important my physical and mental health is to me, and wham the next thing you know I am renewing my commitment to take that class or schedule a session. I feel good about it, and so will you. It’s a win, win situation.
You can have the ability to track your advertising dollars.
Imagine the ability to have actual data that helps your business understand where advertising dollars are most effective and, more importantly, where they are being wasted.
Not only can you track where your money is most effective, you can then send targeted promotions, information, updates etc. to those same customers whom you know are interested, and most likely to patronize your business.
Text messaging has a 95% viewership rate. (email is 2%) That means that if you send 100 people a text promoting you goods/services….95 of them will read your message. We like those numbers.
Hey all you skiers and snowboarders out there you are going to love this news. We are working on having a snow report for all of your favorite resorts. You’ll simply be able to text snow to 32075 and get the most up to date conditions available. Pretty cool!! We’ll update with more info as we get closer to launching this new service.

Looking to reach their customers directly Qittle is the perfect solution for Dave and his team at Sunburst Car Care. On days when business is a bit slow they can simply send out a text message to their data base offering specials on the services they provide. Dave is running digital ads on Wright Vision screens in the Roaring Fork Valley with text call to actions. The text offers a discount on a first visit. This brings customers into Sunburst while at the same tracking the success of digital marketing. In addition to that cards are handed out to existing customers to join the text data base to get specials.
We are very excited to help Dave and his team increase sales while also tracking their marketing dollars so they can be more efficient. “Sunburst Car Care Qittles, do you?”
Becoming involved in a new business venture is always a risk. When Casey approached me about Qittle, I have to admit, I wasn’t completely sold on what text messaging could provide for a business. As he began to explain the idea, it seemed intriguing at the very least and something that I started to think about in terms of a legitimate business venture. I saw the possibilities being a 24-year-old who practically lives by text messaging, but would other generations? Would my parents and grandparents feel the same excitement Casey and I were feeling?
Not too long after our conversation, I left the little mountain town of Aspen, Colorado to visit family and friends back home in the suburbs of Detroit. My first day at home after I explained the idea of Qittle to my Aunt Kristi, she pulled out her phone and showed me a text she had received that day from Victoria’s Secret offering her a discount on her next purchase. She said she was going over there that day to use it!
I started to think more about the power of text messaging and the average baby boomer like my aunt. She’s a 40-something mom who has three kids, a part time job, lives in suburban America and she’s excited about text messaging!
Signs began to appear everywhere the more I thought about it. My McDonalds breakfast in the airport on the way back to Colorado had a text messaging campaign around their Monopoly game. American Eagle was offering special promotions to anyone who texted in. Big companies are doing big things with text messaging—so why not other companies? Why isn’t everyone doing this?
This is when I knew Qittle would be a big deal. There are millions of people out there who have yet to be touched by the influence of text message marketing. It is a powerful tool that will be the number one way to market in the coming years. And if you don’t believe this 20-something, just ask my Aunt Kristi
This past weekend we headed down to Scottsdale to meet with our software partner and train. We were fortunate to have great weather both ways on our flight from Aspen to Scottsdale. It was lovely in AZ as well. Here are a few photos of our trip.
