“We are very excited to welcome Qittle into the Fort Collins Chamber membership! Qittle has a unique offering for the Northern Colorado community with many possibilities for professional and non-profit organizations.” Annie Keith Member Relations Coordinator
Qittle is a paperless, low-cost, no-spam, easy-to-use mobile coupon and messaging software solution, which provides end users with SMS messages sent directly to their mobile phones—no printing and no clipping required.
Text Messages now outnumber mobile voice calls three to one, according to the Nielsen Company. Consumers are using their mobile devices more as a computer than a traditional cell phone. SMS (Short Message Solutions) or texting is the largest use on a cell phone today. This is also where brands and businesses have the best opportunity to engage their customers or potential customers. Nielsen reports “Monthly messages sent or received jumped to 584 a person in the quarter ending in September 2009, a 60 percent increase from a year earlier.”
“We are excited to have a presence in Fort Collins and to be working with the Chamber. It was a natural fit for our company to expand into Northern Colorado and Fort Collins has always been a technology leader.” Casey McConnell CEO of Qittle

One week to rule them all. ESPN’s Winter X Games 14 comes to Aspen/Snowmass this week (January 28-31). And with a group of newly appointed Olympians, insane features on Buttermilk Mountain, a super stacked lineup of musicians and loads of swag to be given away, there is no doubt this year will be the biggest yet.
Big tricks, big parties, big prizes. Among them, Qittle(TM) is giving away two (2) O-matic snowboards. One board will be given away as part of Qittle’s Swag Friday prizes, where one winner is chosen from those who have entered into Qittle’s ”Live the Dream” contest. The ultimate winner of the “Live the Dream” contest will win a year living in Aspen/Snowmass, however there are weekly winners on each of the Swag Fridays. (For details, go to www.livethedreamaspensnowmass.com)
Qittle will also give out another O-matic board on the weekend through a text to win contest whereby people can enter by texting DREAM to 26469, standard carrier rates may apply. Stay tuned for details of where and when the winner will be announced!
Co-founded by pro snowboarders Todd Richards and Tara Dakides and engineer Jason Kanes, O-matic snowboards (www.omaticsnowboards.com) focuses on “more bang for your buck” and trying to make snowboarding fun for everyone. And it certainly seems to have worked for one of their team riders, Louie Vito (www.louievito.com).
Louie, 21, has just been named one of three U.S. riders going to the Winter Olympics in Vancouver in February, along with Shaun White and Scotty Lago. Louie is also a veteran of this past season’s Dancing with the Stars program on ABC and a pretty cool guy to boot. But before he heads to Canada…Louie will be throwing down double corks on his O-matic board this week in the X Games super pipe.
Shout out to O-matic for providing Qittle awesome boards to give away, to Louie Vito for good times in X Games and Olympics and to Aspen/Snowmass for being an Xcellent place to live, play, work and visit!
8-18 year-olds devote an average of 7 hours and 38 minutes (7:38) to using entertainment media across a typical day
A national survey by the Kaiser Family Foundation found that with technology allowing nearly 24-hour media access as children and teens go about their daily lives, the amount of time young people spend with entertainment media has risen dramatically, especially among minority youth. Today, 8-18 year-olds devote an average of 7 hours and 38 minutes (7:38) to using entertainment media across a typical day (more than 53 hours a week). And because they spend so much of that time ‘media multitasking’ (using more than one medium at a time), they actually manage to pack a total of 10 hours and 45 minutes (10:45) worth of media content into those 7½ hours.
The Hispanic Chamber of E-Commerce (HISCEC) is an online Hispanic business association focused on promoting Hispanic businesses via the Internet and the use of e-business tools.
The Hispanic Chamber of E-Commerce was launched in April 2008 to pursue our passion for e-commerce and the Hispanic business community. It was incorporated in the state of California as a for-profit corporation. We have been passionate about e-commerce since 1998. Our knowledge about the digital economy and the Hispanic Market has developed over the years. Three years ago, we decided to create an online Hispanic business association that could contribute to the growth and development of an online Hispanic business community.
Two of the latest marketing trends–social networking and SMS messaging–are becoming routine for some marketers, and their roles are becoming more clearly defined.
Chad Hallert, Director, Ecommerce, Eldorado Hotel Casino, and his team have experimented with building and promoting to a list of SMS subscribers since early 2009. In some ways, the team uses SMS similarly to how they use Facebook and Twitter. However, they’ve found SMS messages attract more immediate attention to promotions.

No. 3 “SWABBING DNA”
Examine the DNA of a successful mobile campaign. By noting the statistics of other businesses utilizing mobile technology, you can test the outcome of other campaigns in order to aid in implementing your own. What is the structure of their campaign? How is it put together? What results have they had? Will this type of campaign suit my business and my target audience?
For example, mobile coupons are quickly becoming a favorite of Qittle customers for their ease of creation and use, high rate of redemption and greener appeal when compared to print coupons. Printed coupons often end up in the trash, the bottom of a purse or never seen at all. In this age of environmental as well as financial crisis, why waste paper, money and human resources for something that may never be used?
The high redemption rate for mobile coupons is largely due to the fact that they are: (1) targeted to an audience who have already expressed an interest in your product or service; (2) direct and noticeable being sent to your customer’s mobile device; (3) remain a constant reminder in your customer’s hand; and (4) easy to redeem as minimal effort is required on the part of the customer.
